Even though the first half of the big two-part action extravaganza Mission: Impossible – Time Out won’t hit theaters until next year, new additions to the ensemble for Part 2 are already raving about their excitement.
To be fair, that puts them in the exact same boat as the rest of us, with the trailer being shown before Top Gun: Maverick signaling that returning director Christopher McQuarrie has raised the bar once again, something that is becoming increasingly difficult in the wake of his phenomenal rebel nation Y Fall.
Taking to social media, the filmmaker released a couple of new behind-the-scenes images, which confirmed that Nick Offerman and Janet McTeer had joined the ensemble.
Not only that, but Offerman is already dishing out the dirt on his Mission Impossible debut, as revealed by The Wrap.
“It’s really fun and fascinating. There are a handful of very high-caliber actors that I’m working with, as well as the lead, and it’s amazing to be able to throw the ball around. Watching them grapple with the fire hose technique is fascinating, because they all bring a great deal of enthusiasm and flair and years of experience. And seeing McQ and Tom do their thing, you really can’t describe it to people. You have to be there. I have never seen anything like it. It’s like they’re painting an amazing mural and we’re all the paintings.”
Everyone seems to be in awe of what Tom Cruise brings to the table, but the bad news for the rest of us is that Mission: Impossible – Time Out still almost a year to go.
