Game news Nintendo Switch: Mario and the Rabbids in the starting blocks, ready to do it again?

The Nintendo Switch has a rather busy end of the year with many ports and above all, some well-felt exclusives. In the heap, Mario + The Rabbids Sparks of Hope which has just announced good news.

Soon the return of stupidity

We know it: Rayman (almost) disappeared in favor of the Rabbids a long time ago and the new Ubisoft mascots have particularly made their mark on Wii: since then, the deliberately stupid little animals are on very good terms with the Japanese manufacturer, even to the point of collaborating with one of the most famous characters in modern culture.

We are obviously talking about Mario, who has already partnered with the Rabbids in 2017 with Kingdom Battle: this time, they’re doing it again with Sparks of Hope, an action-tactical adventure game with a colorful universe and a good mood. Ubisoft has just good news to tell us about its design.

Tony Sparks

It was on social networks that the news was announced quite freshly: Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is now gold. In the jargon, this means that the development is officially finished and that a priori (well, normally), the game will be released on time. Happy news for the players but also for the developers who are completing a whole production cycle there, which can nevertheless continue with a potential follow-up.

In this new adventure, a strange entity named Cursa is in search of the energy of the Sparks : the latter are none other than hybrid creatures half-Lumas, half-Rabbids, and Chaos reigns in the universe. Mario and his band of friends will then go and defeat the threat.

We remind himit’s not a traditional action game but a tactical action game, with “new generation” turn-based combat and a ton of levels to go through. An experience that could well be a game-changer at the end of the year and moreover, let us underline its nature since it is an exclusive Switch, one of the very games of the machine in 2022.

Mario + The Rabbids Sparks of Hope will be released on October 20, 2022 for €59.99.
