Scarlet/Violet versions and 9G are coming… And a surprise!
For the Nintendo Switch, this end of the year 2022 has everything of a long calm river as the company will draw, during the remaining months, games and exclusives which are likely to run the ticket machines at full speed.. You only have to take a look at the calendar already available to realize this, and the recent announcements during the Nintendo Direct which extend until the first months of 2023 should confirm the good trajectory that the Kyoto firm risks taking! In October alone, the Nintendo Switch welcomes highly anticipated ports as well as two major exclusives, namely Mario + The Rabbids: Sparks of Hope and Bayonetta 3!

To drive the point home, Nintendo will even be able to count on one of its most popular licenses, if not the most popular: Pokémon. Release of versions Scarlet and Violetincluding with them the ninth generation of pocket creatures, could well cause an even greater tidal wave than Sword and Shield. However, this may not be the only game that Nintendo and The Pokémon Company are preparing to launch in the coming months. Through a LinkedIn page, we learned that another project could be released “imminently” and that it is still lurking in the shadows, on the lookout for the best time to reveal itself to the general public!
The great return of a Pokémon spin-off game!
During its history, which spans more than twenty-five years, the Pokémon franchise has had a series of main games as well as a few spin-offs that have more or less left their mark, such as Pokemon Legends: Arceus at the beginning of the year. Here, it’s a completely different adventure, in development for at least three years that features an iconic Pokémon, which is at the heart of the news. To put you on the way, there was even a feature film inspired by this opus released on Nintendo 3DS!

Many will have guessed it: spin-off Detective Pikachu could have a new episode in the coming months on Nintendo’s handheld console. As noted by the FamiBoards site, one of the developers reportedly posted on his LinkedIn page that the project would be “nearly done”, suggesting that a release doesn’t seem so far off anymoreeven though the title was extremely discreet during its production and was not even highlighted during a Pokémon Presents event. Now, the ball is in the court of Nintendo and The Pokémon Company and we just have to wait to learn more.
