Game News No Man’s Sky lands on Switch and PS5 in physical version
No Man’s Sky will be released for the first time on Nintendo Switch, and released in physical and complete version on PlayStation 5.
No Man’s Sky is coming out for the first time on Switch. A small feat for a console often seen as not powerful enough for such vast games. Furthermore, the title will be released on PS5 for the second timein a full version and in physics.
A Switch version that will “wow people”
On October 7, the Switch will host No Man’s Sky with the twenty major updates releases to date on the Hello Games title. The space exploration game will also feature more updates in the future, which will also be released on Switch. The founder of Hello Games, Sean Murray, praises the work of the studiofor such an ambitious game, ported to Switch.
No Man’s Sky on this tiny handheld device feels both completely natural and utterly improbable. It seemed almost impossible for our small team. No Man’s Sky is built around procedural generation, which means the console generates everything you see. It makes it so much harder to bring our game to a device like the Switch, but I think this team never seems happier than when they’re trying to do near impossible things. (…)
I think people are going to be blown away when they can finally play this game on such a small platform. It really is a whole universe in the palm of your hand. It was a colossal job, but very rewarding for our small team, and I am really proud of the result.
A physical PS5 version
But it’s not just this Switch version that has just been announced by Hello Games. Indeed, we learned that No Man’s Sky would be released on PlayStation 5, in physical version, also on October 7. Until then, the PS5 version was only available digitally. Here too, it will be a full version with updates previously published.
The physical version of the PlayStation 5 will include a remastered disc containing all 20 updates and is a perfect way for people to get started in the game. This is the first time since Beyond launched in 2019 that you will be able to purchase a copy of No Man’s Sky in stores. The box of this version is labeled “contains all seven major updates”. The fact that we’re about to release our 20th free update reminds us how busy we’ve been for the past three years!
Even if this version is called “remastered”, we don’t know yet if it will have any particularities compared to the others, apart from all the updates included.

No Man’s Sky will be released on Switch in digital and physical version and will be released on PS5 in physical version on October 7th.
