Call of the Sea, developed by Out of the Blue studio, will be released in Meta Quest 2 in 2023.
If you still don’t know Call of the Sea, let me tell you that it is an adventure and exploration title developed by the Spanish studio Out of the Blue which was published at the end of 2020 on PC and Xbox, although it was later released on PS4 and PS5 even in physical format. However, its extension to the different platforms has not ended.
Call of the Sea is released in Meta Quest 2 in 2023The Madrid team announced this week that their debut game, which was nominated for the BAFTA awards, will be released for VR in Meta Quest 2, the virtual reality device from Meta (formerly known as Facebook). It will be available with dubbing in English, French and Spanish and will arrive sometime in 2023.
In the absence of knowing more details, Call of the Sea VR aims to immerse players in paradisiacal environments to solve different puzzles in the first person as they discover an adventure with a story full of love, suspense and a few surprises. Also, during the Raindance Festival, which starts at the end of October and is aimed at independent creators of virtual reality, it will be possible to try a private demo of Norah’s trip.
In his analysis of Call of the Sea, our colleague Carlos Gallego defined the Out of the Blue game as a work that “knows how to find a way to tell your story and integrate your gameplay effectively and balanced through the exploration of its scenarios”, although “it could have given a little more of itself in terms of duration and difficulty”.
