Into the Breach will get all-new content via an “Advanced Edition” update next month, along with a mobile version via Netflix Games.
Yesterday, June 23, Subset Games surprised everyone with the announcement of Into the Breach: Advanced Edition. You can check out the debut trailer for the re-release just below, which will release on July 19th on all platforms, completely free to anyone who already owns the base game.
Included in the Advanced Edition update is new content for nearly every aspect of Into the Breach. There are new Mech Squads to field and play with, new combat abilities to play with, new missions to undertake, and even monstrous new Vex threats to face, with unique attacks.
For veterans of the excellent turn-based strategy game, there’s even a new difficulty mode to get stuck into. In fact, the Twitter (opens in a new tab) Subset Games’ announcement promises even more content in the advanced edition of Into the Breach, which the studio has yet to pull.
As for the mobile version of Into the Breach, the advanced edition will be available for iOS and Android devices on July 19. It will be released through Netflix, which means it will be available immediately to all paying members of the subscription service. at no additional cost, and will not skip any content from the console versions of Into the Breach: Advanced Edition.
Finally, there is the physical version of Into the Breach for the Nintendo Switch. This edition, which will be published by Fangamer, is scheduled to release sometime later this year and will include all of the content included in the Advanced Edition, as well as a poster, alternate box art design, game manual, and two sheets. of stickers starring mechs and Vex.
Wow, what a treat for Into the Breach fans.
