New players are flocking to Overwatch 2 to check it out after Blizzard’s big relaunch. Tragically, they are not getting the best advice from the most experienced players on the scene.
One of the most popular ‘tips’, ahem, is that Lucio’s speed boost not only speeds up your team, but the payload and bot are critical to Overwatch 2’s more objective-based game modes. Another one of my personal favorites is that ground attacks do not damage assassin monk Zenyatta due to his ability to hover.
We’ve rounded up some particularly select clips for you below:

STOP GIVING FAKE OVERWATCH ADVICE TO NEW PLAYERS I’M TIRED OF HAVING VALORANT PLAYERS IN MY GAMES ASKING ME WHY THEY DON’T INCREASE ROBOT SPEED IN LUCIO PLEASEOctober 18, 2022
You MUST stop trolling new Overwatch players. I keep getting people asking me if the pike speed increases the payload and pushes the bot.October 18, 2022
One group that Overwatch 2 fans are joking about more than others comes from Valorant. Seeing a new release, especially one that’s free to play, is nothing new or groundbreaking, though several Valorant pros like Tyson “TenZ” Ngo have been running sponsored streams, drawing the attention of Valorant fans to Overwatch 2. Also, Valorant It’s often billed as a CS:GO x Overwatch mash-up, with many of the pros on the scene hailing from the Overwatch league, so there’s sure to be an added degree of interest.
Unfortunately, the great FPS debate between the two has broken out, although we’re sure CS:GO would like to talk.
Valorant players not being able to aim in Overwatch has to be the funniest shit ever.October 16, 2022
when someone randomly stops to shoot in overwatch its 50/50 if its a 10 year old playing video games for the first time, or just an avid gamerOctober 18, 2022
Overwatch 2’s launch was a bit of a hassle due to multiple DDoS attacks and influx of players, but hey, I doubt Blizzard is complaining that Overwatch 2’s daily player count is “nearly triple” the original peak.
However, some things are still taking time to resolve. Blizzard “doesn’t plan any immediate balance changes”, even though the current meta is controversial among fans, meaning fans who don’t think Lucio can speed up a payload.
Overwatch 2 took days to work, and we are still not convinced it was worth it.
