No more push rounds until the game is over

Today marks only 2 months since the release of Overwatch 2! We know players are eager to dive in and we’ve seen questions about the possibility of a third public beta. While we will continue to test OW2 daily internally, we do not plan any additional public Beta tests. (1/2)

The Blizzard exec says the team is focusing its efforts on releasing the “best possible game” on October 4.
no more until october
the surveillance 2 beta has had some mixed reactions. I took my time with it, as some of the changes felt like a nice change of pace for the game. Push mode in particular really added a lot, and I was happy to see them show up in the rotation instead of the dual checkpoint maps.
But I can also endorse the feeling that it felt a bit too incremental, like a big patch to a live service game rather than a full “2” sequel. Granted, part of that is because the single-player content isn’t coming in October, but sometime later.
Yet, surveillance 2 will take care of the Supervision space, replacing the original. It’s also moving the team-based hero shooter to a free-to-play system. And despite statements about a survey that was conducted, gamers seem a bit wary of a new monetization model.
Would another beta version help alleviate some concerns before the release of surveillance 2? It’s hard to say. I think some people are eager to try the “final” version of surveillance 2 and see how much has really changed, myself included. But it seems that we will have to wait for October 4.
