After many rumors, that’s it, the Spartacus project has finally been formalized by Sony. Soon, the PlayStation Plus will offer three different offers with advantages specific to each level. To see a little more clearly among all these proposals, we suggest you make a small summary of the three new formulas of PlayStation Plus: Essential, Extra and Premium.

- Several offers for all audiences?
As you may have read in our exclusive interview with Jim Ryan, President and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, the PlayStation Plus will be available in three different offers (Essential, Extra and Premium) from June 2022. Obviously, the most expensive subscriptions offer the same features as the previous levels with additional advantages each time. That being said, don’t keep you waiting any longer, here are the details of these three new forms:

PlayStation Plus Premium
What services does PlayStation Plus Premium offer?
- The online game
- Several games (usually two to three) included for download
- Discounts on purchases
- Cloud backups
- PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games available for download (around 400 PS4 and PS5 games at launch)

- €119.99 for twelve months (a little less than €10 per month)
Several offers for all audiences?
As you will have understood, the PlayStation Plus Essential corresponds to the current PS+ offer that we have already known for several years. Obviously, the great novelty begins at the next level with the PlayStation Plus Extra which costs €5 more per month or €40 more per year. For this price, PS+ Extra subscribers therefore have access to a catalog of free PS4 and PS5 games to download, like the Xbox Game Pass, which will be around 400 when the service is launched. Over time, this offer will be adjusted, with entries and exits, depending on the most played and least practiced titles.
Finally, with regard to the biggest offer, the PlayStation Plus Premium, we find all the advantages mentioned above with the addition of a nostalgic aspect. Indeed, it is with this formula that you will be able to enjoy PSP, PlayStation 1 and PlayStation 2 games for download or streaming, but also PS3 and PS4 titles, only by streaming, on the other hand. The icing on the cake is that this Premium formula also allows you to enjoy AAA PlayStation for a limited time. With this tempting offer, we just have to wait for the beginning of the summer to see if this new version of PlayStation Plus will have enough to compete with Microsoft’s offer.
