Summer is in full swing and with the return of Insectomania, even Pokémon GO is not spared from insects! Everything you need to know about Pokémon GO’s Insectomania event
From Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at 10 a.m. to Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at 8 p.m. (local time), the Insectomania event is making a comeback in Pokémon GO! On this occasion, the GO Season invites all trainers to meet new Bug-type Pokémon, such as Larvibula and its evolutions, Chrysapilus and Lucanon. Note that to evolve Larvibule into Chrysapile, you will need 25 Candies. As for Chrysapile, you can evolve it into Lucanon using 100 Candies near a Magnetic Lure Module.

The Insectomania event will also allow all players to host Mega Scizor in Mega Raids. With a bit of luck, you might even come across her. chromatic form!

But the news doesn’t stop there, since thanks to Pokémon GO Fest: Sapporo, players around the world now have access to an Ultra Bonus featuring Zarbi T and his chromatic versionbut also a Pokémon that is not usually available in France. It is Feuillajou, which will also be available in its shiny form:

Pokémon GO Insectomania Event Bonuses
As always, who says new event also says event bonusand the trainers will be served since in addition to having double XP for capturing Pokémon with Nice Throw, Great Throw, and Excellent Throwthey will be entitled to surprise encounters when taking photos during the event. Groups taking part in In-person Raid Battles will also be rewarded with more frequent appearances of Bug-type Pokémon within 300 meters of the Arenaand however 15 minutes. In addition, the Ultra-Bonus unlocked during the Pokémon GO Fest: Sapporo will allow them to earn extra Candy by capturing Pokémon with a Nice throw, Great throw and/or Great throw. The trainers level 31 and above will also have more chance of receiving XL Candy when capturing a Pokémon with this type of throw, until the end of the event. Note that the Ultra Bonus also gives access to Ad hoc Studies focused on catching Bug-type Pokémon, whose missions will allow you to win items, Pokémon encounters, and Mega Energy for Scizor.
And that’s not all ! Players will also be able to participate in a Collection Challenge who puts the Bug-type Pokémon in the spotlight. If you manage to complete it, you will be able to receive 15,000 XP as well as pose “Scout”which will also be available for purchase in the Shop after the event.
