Usually Game Freak and Nintendo will make an announcement about the pre-order bonus for each Pokemon play. Included in this banner is the message “Bonus gift with purchase: digital code for an in-game backpack*”.
In both Pokémon Scarlet and Pokemon VioletOn the product pages of, it is further confirmed that pre-orders will include the in-game accessory. Players will receive a backpack that can be used in the game. However, the fine print indicates that the backpack skin is currently unavailable and will be revealed at a later date. It is confirmed that the backpack is a cosmetic and will not affect the game in any way, so Pokemon fans won’t have to worry if they lose the bonus.
Another unanswered question is whether or not this pre-order bonus will be exclusive to the Pokémon Center store. Other retailers may have their own pre-order bonuses for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, whether it’s a different outfit or a different style of backpack. The pre-order listing on Amazon, for example, doesn’t mention a pre-order bonus at this time.
There is no clear indication of when more information about scarlet pokemon and violetPre-order bonuses. There is speculation that a Nintendo Direct could be held before the end of June, but there is no guarantee. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet would be featured even if a Nintendo Direct were held. Fans will just have to be patient.
At a minimum, it’s safe to assume that the tradition of including cosmetic DLC as a pre-order bonus for Pokemon the games will continue with scarlet and violet pokemon.
