As Geoff continues to add more shows and reveal events under his belt, things are starting to look a little thinner. Although Gamescom Opening Night Live has the potential to air the air of “E3 in Europe”, today was full of games that were already shown in some way, or returned with a marketing reboot after reveals from previous years. Time for a Gamescom 2022 recap.
There was some great stuff in there. the studio behind moon breaker cleverly teamed up with author Brandon Sanderson to bring us a “Hearthstone satisfies XCOM“game” with a vibrant art style and a customizable mini painting element. No one I expected a Killer clowns from outer space game: talk about a passion project! As for the news from the big studios, sonic frontiers it has a release date from Sega, and another PlayStation 5 controller is on the way from Sony. The “last thing” was dead island 2due out in February 2023 and still looks like a Dead Island play.
