One of the most important moments of Doctor strange in the multiverse of madness was the cameo of actor John Krasinski.
After fans begged to see him play Reed Richards at the Fantastic four film, the character eventually appeared in the MCU, whether elsewhere.
Thanks to the comment function of doctor strange 2Its director Sam Raimi has confirmed that the fans are responsible for this casting to take place.
“It’s so funny that Kevin chose John because fans had a dream of who the perfect Reed Richards would be and because it’s an alternate universe. Kevin said, let’s make that dream come true.”
The director and other members of the film’s team, including head writer Michael Waldron and co-producer Richie Palmer, went above and beyond to share the pleasure it was to work with Krasinski on the film, but didn’t reveal any secrets about a possible return.
They also shared that the technology Richards uses to appear in the scene is actually inspired by a deep cut from the comics. While it may look like a portal, the technology is based on Doctor Doom’s time platform and is referred to by the team as his time gate.
Of course, after seeing Krasinski in the role, however short-lived, fans are eager to get more of the actor as Reed Richards in the Fantastic four film scheduled to arrive in the next few years. Unfortunately, so far there has been no confirmation that this is the case.
