This article contains spoilers for She-Hulk: Lawyer episode six
This week She-Hulk: Lawyer It may have left Daredevil fans blue-eyed, but there was still plenty to enjoy. We’re always here for Jameela Jamil chewing up scenarios (literally this week!) as Titania, and the wedding-based comedy landed pretty well. But it looks like the show’s B-plot featuring classic Marvel comics character Mr. Immortal is landing particularly well with fans.
Mr. Immortal – here played by boba fett bookDavid Pasquesi’s: He made his debut in West Coast Avengers #46 in 1989, with his superpower, the ability to automatically resurrect no matter how he dies, and never age. In the comics, this gives him the confidence to behave extremely recklessly, though aside from this power, he is essentially a normal human being.
On the show we see him dealing with the consequences of faking his death to get out of the marriage, with his furious ex-partners after him for compensation. And, to prove his good faith, Mr. Immortal gets out of a difficult conversation in GLK&H by simply jumping out the window, crashing into a parked car, and walking around like it’s no big deal.
Fittingly, fans are falling for him:
It looks like a useful get out of jail card:
And we always love a good comedy window jump:
It was probably the best comedy moment of the episode:
But it’s not all sunshine and roses, as many comic book fans aren’t happy with this comedic take on the character:
It seems that Mr. Immortal may have been a unique character, but Pasquesi was so charismatic that we hope he returns for more at some point.
She-Hulk: Lawyer airs Wednesdays on Disney Plus.
