Questions about exact release dates are always on the minds of gamers: no one wants to wait long to play something they’re looking forward to. Delays in the industry are common and have only become more frequent as a result of covid. Skull & Bones and Marvel’s Midnight Suns are two very different games, but they’re tied together in the news thanks to being rated by the South Korean Game Rating and Administration Committee.
GRAC lists the PC version of Marvel’s Skull & Bones and Midnight Suns in general on its website, as spotted by forum user ResetEra szuhaadalis. Skull & Bones received a mature rating of 18+, while Midnight Suns received a less strong rating of 15+. However, the ratings themselves are not the focus here – the fact that these two games were rated absolutely implies release date news soon. We have seen it happen many times before. Ghostwire: Tokyo received a GRAC rating earlier in the year, shortly before its release date was announced.
The two recently ranked games have seen turbulent times. Skull & Bones was pushed back to May of last year, leaving its release date a total mystery. Since then, the leaked game alpha gave us a glimpse of what the game has to offer, and we’ve gotten a bit more information on when it will release. Ubisoft recently shortened the release window for Skull & Bones and a few other titles, so while there’s currently no set date, we do know it’s coming between October 2021 and the end of March 2023. There was also a report of a “sample massive”. ” of upcoming Ubisoft games, which would be an ideal place to announce the end date.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns was announced at Gamescom last August, only to be delayed until November. At the time, developer Firaxis and publisher 2K said it would be moving to the second half of 2022. That certainly lines up with recent GRAC ratings.
