Slime Rancher 2 is launching today, so if you can’t wait a second to play, this is the time it’s expected to launch.
It’s been a long time for fans of Monomi Park’s lovable shooter, but it’s time for Slime Rancher 2 to be released. The sequel premieres today, September 22, on xbox series x/S and PC (via Vapor (opens in a new tab) and the epic game store (opens in a new tab)); however, exactly when has not been revealed.
Fortunately, we have a rough idea thanks to Steam, which says that Slime Rancher 2 will release via Early Access “in about 6 hours,” which at the time of this writing would mean around 5pm BST/ 9am PT/ 12am ET. Since this time is only approximate, there is a possibility that it will be available a little earlier or later than the estimated time.
It would be safe to assume that this time it would be the same for the Epic Game Store and Xbox Game Pass. Considering that Microsoft is based in a PT time zone, we wouldn’t be surprised if Slime Rancher 2 released around 12am PT. For now though, we’ll have to keep checking the digital stores until the game officially launches.
If you’re wondering what to expect from Slime Rancher 2 while it’s in Early Access, series director Nick Popovich posted a Reddit (opens in a new tab) post a couple of months ago explaining what fans will experience when the game launches this month. According to Popovich, players will be able to explore a huge world with many different slimes to collect and match. The Early Access version will also introduce the game’s story and the mystery behind Rainbow Island.
