Game news Sonic Frontiers is not the next Sonic game! New game unveiled
Roblox, Minecraft’s great competitor, is once again being talked about today. The sandbox signed Roblox Corporation has just welcomed Sonic into its universe.
A new Sonic game available today
While we all expected Sonic Frontiers to be the next Sonic game to land on our favorite machines, today we learn that this is not the case. The publisher and developer Gamefam, known for being the first company to develop games on Roblox, has just taken the floor to announce the news: the studio has just made a collaboration with SEGA. This partnership allowed the developer to launch Sonic Speed Simulator, a brand new game featuring the icon of the Japanese brand.
Already available on free-to-play Roblox, Sonic Speed Simulator is billed as the liveliest and fastest game in the virtual sandbox. It allows, as its name suggests, to take control of the most popular blue hedgehog in the world of video games to travel at full speed through long green expanses. The objective here is to always collect more rings to increase the speed of our all-blue hero.
In this game, players can level up and increase their speed as they dash through unique worlds while competing against friends to earn rewards, including stat-boosting pets and character skins for Sonic. Players will also be able to experience regular updates and win an exclusive Sonic skin when the game reaches 10,000 player likes. gamefam
To top it off, Gamefam invites us to discover a short extract. Available below, this sequence shows that Sonic Speed Simulator incorporates all the codes of the franchise, starting with this sensation of astonishing speed, but also by the fact that we find the iconic levels of the series, including the Green Hill zone. .
As a reminder, this is not the first time that Gamefam has introduced heroes and heroines from different brands in Roblox since the company has already made numerous partnerships with Ubisoft, Mattel, Sony and even MGA.
