A redesign of Steam to replace third-party sites
You know, we could already see the statistical data of games on Steam on the third-party sites such as SteamDB or Steam Chartz. Only, as you can imagine, Valve prefers that you stay on its Steam service, rather than seeing you visit other sites. that’s why the editor has decided to revise its statistics interface in order to integrate more dataand make it easier to analyze the successes of the platform.
The new stats section
Valve thus announces to launch a new section of Steam, Steam Charts. This replaces the old statistics page which showed you the current best-selling and most-played games. From now on, the statistics will change: for example, the bestseller list will categorize games into depending on the turnover they generateincluding through their DLCs and transactions in-game. The page will allow you to see the Real-Time Bestsellersthem Most popular games in real timethem Top sellers of the weekthem Top New Releases of the Month. In addition to the filters and data already available, this redesign brings other improvements. You can for example choose the number of weeks counted for the Bestsellers ranking, as well as displaying the weekly evolution. You will also be able to classify the games according to their sales in such and such regions.
Steam Charts is searchable at this addresson the Steam platform.
