Bloons Tower Defense has been one of the most popular tower defense games ever since the series first debuted as a flash game in 2007. With each installment, new features have been added that perfectly complement the inherent simplicity of the series. In the latest title in the series, Ninja Kiwi added heroes to the game. Heroes are special monkeys that have unique attacks and abilities.
Each hero is very powerful in one way or another, but players can only use one per game. Players must choose wisely in order to survive the most challenging levels and cooperative play. Here is our list of the best heroes in Bloons TD 6. Each one is worth the cost to unlock and can save you in a pinch.

This is the best hero for new players. She cuts lead balloons very easily and deals fire damage to all monkeys in range of her after every 30 attacks. Gwendolin has a short range but very high damage output to make up for it. She has a couple of really powerful AoE attacks that can clear an area very easily. Besides all the other benefits of her, Gwendolin is relatively cheap at $2500 to unlock. Her biggest weaknesses are that she can’t hit cloak bloons without support and she can’t pop purple bloons until she gets a buff at level 16.
Admiral Brickell is a water-based hero who is easily underestimated. Like most heroes, he has two different attacks. His revolver attack generally deals little damage per shot, even when he’s fully leveled. What really makes Brickell shine is his mine attacks. Every two seconds he drops a mine into the nearby water. These mines last for two rounds and will target any bloon within range. This hero makes the most difficult aquatic levels a piece of cake. She costs $5000 to unlock.
Pat Fusty is well worth the $3,000 unlock cost. Pat can be placed on both land and water, and is relatively cheap compared to some of the other heroes available. Pat uses punch attacks to smash bloons. He can crush lead balloons and, as he levels up, he can stun and deal a lot of damage to MOABs. He is an excellent choice for all types of players and skill levels. The only drawback is that he can’t attack cloaks without support and, as a melee hero, he has a relatively low range.
Etienne has a unique skill set within Bloon TD6, as he has drones that can traverse the map, blowing up bloons along with the towers. These drones mean that Etienne can be positioned far from the runway, saving valuable real estate. At level 19, Etienne stands out with four drones, all active at once, and level 20 offers a permanent UCAV that can blast all types of bloons while activated.
Benjamin is a bit more expensive than other heroes, but he is a great help in the late game. Benjamin doesn’t attack bloons directly, but mainly helps players extend their survival time. He generates extra money and lives over time for players to use. As he levels up, he gains the ability to increase damage from other monkeys and prevent bloons from spawning children when popped. If he’s struggling with any particular challenges, Benjamin can make it much easier in the later stages and should be purchased early on. He only costs $3000 to unlock.
Adora is a hero who deals a lot of damage. She fires directed beams of sunlight that deal a lot of damage and can burst lead balloons. As she continues to level up, her damage, range, and attack speed all increase to make her the bane of any bloon in range. While Adora is a great DPS hero, she is a bit pricey. She costs $5000 to unlock and is slightly more expensive to buy than some of the other heroes. She can’t pop purple bloons right away, but she gains the ability to do so early on as she levels up. Adora’s biggest drawback is that she can’t pop camouflage balloons without the support of another monkey or ability.
PSI is an extremely strong hero with his ability to hold all bloons in place while destroying them with psychic power. His ability to interrupt a wave of bloons for seconds at a time can help mitigate some of the later levels of DDT while continuing to take out more standardized enemies. Unlike some heroes, who are only useful if placed in the early rounds, PSI packs quite a punch from the very first level thanks to his ability to target camouflage.
