GTA Y breaking bad would be a match made in heaven
breaking bad It’s widely considered one of the best TV series of all time, and frankly, its theme would make a great game. The show’s creator, Vince Gilligan, thought so too, because at one point he launched a GTA-As an adaptation of the iconic series. Originally reported by ComicBook, Gilligan expressed his interest in turning breaking bad in a game on a recent episode of his “Inside The Gilliverse” podcast, where he was joined by Eric Broadbent and Peter Gould.
Gilligan said he’s “not much of a gamer” but wanted to communicate with the studio that owns it. Grand Theft Auto and see if they could do “as a module” inspired by their series. Even for someone who doesn’t know gaming very well, he could be onto something with a Breaking Bad x GTA DLC.
“There have been quite a few attempts at video games,” Gilligan continued. “Some of them made it to market. We tried to make a virtual reality experience with the Sony PlayStation VR headset. We made a mobile game that didn’t last long.” It refers to a narrative base-building game that was released in 2020 called Breaking Bad: Criminal ElementsBut it didn’t last more than a year.
Gilligan also shared the sentiment that the team behind breaking bad I didn’t want to create a bad game that only appealed to players because of its association with the show, specifically referencing the colossal flop of 1982 Eastern Time game for Atari as something they wanted to avoid replicating.
Honestly, I find it impressive that conversations continue to revolve around adaptation breaking bad in a game – talks about the legacy the show has built nearly a decade after it went off the air.
