The new Telltale series is from a reformed Telltale Games, which was bought and revived after the first Telltale Games had to close its doors. This new Telltale, under LCG Entertainment, is the one working The Expansion: A Revealing Series along with narrative game studio Deck Nine and Alcon Interactive Group.
No risk no reward
I am very curious to see what this combination has in store. the expansion. While the new Telltale is fairly new, Deck Nine proved its worth with Life is strange: true colorsa truly phenomenal entry in the series.
The story will follow Camina Drummer, who Extension fans will remember him as the off-road Belter of the series. It takes place before the events of the series, following Drummer’s search for a mysterious treasure on the fringes of the Belt.
While IP adaptations were Telltale’s choice during its original run, the expansion is a new franchise for the company. It’s also one that, in my opinion, could really benefit from a narrative-focused approach. The tensions and politics of the Solar System playing out in verbal clashes across Telltale’s systems could be a good time, if done right. We’ll find out more at Gamescom Opening Night Live.
Telltale is also working on the wolf among us 2, which we saw earlier this year. That is scheduled for sometime in 2023.
