The Binding of Isaac made its mark on various platforms. But The Legend of Bum-bo, the spin-off that serves as a prequel under Edmund McMillen, was not yet released only on computers and smartphones. This will soon change.
The Legend of Bum-bo is coming to Switch, PS5 and Xbox Series
the June 29, The Legend of Bum-bo, will be released on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. As a reminder, The Legend of Bum-bo is a mix of puzzle-game and roguelitemixing displays in 2D and 3D. We find in particular elements of match-3 gameplay, or rather match-4 in this precise case. You have to cross four levels composed of several rooms, in which you will have enemies to fight, by lining up tiles on the board. Add to that elements of deckbuilding, and the fact that the levels change with each gameand you get an exciting game with great replayability.
The improvements of this new version
This new version will offer various improvements over the game released on PC. Among the features announced by Nicalis:
- Over 125 unique items that can be modified and upgraded
- Over 80 unique trinkets that grant passive abilities
- Seven playable Bum-bo, each with their own unique abilities
- 13 ugly-but-cute bosses
- Over 40 despicable enemy types

- Animated cutscenes that will make you feel bad

According to its eShop page on the Nintendo site, the game should be offered at 20 euros. The Legend of Bum-bo will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch on June 29.
