The Sandman It just premiered on Netflix this Friday, but fans are already demanding a spinoff. While it is Tom Sturridge’s Dream of the Endless who has his name in the title, the dark fantasy series features many other larger-than-life characters that have immediately captured the attention of the audience, including the death of Kirby Howell-Baptiste. and Gwendoline Christie’s Lucifer. Although at the top of the list is Jenna Coleman as Johanna Constantine.
Essentially playing the role of DC Comics’ most famous hero, John Constantine, in the plot, Coleman appears most prominently in The SandmanThe third episode of Morpheus teams up with Constantine to retrieve his lost sandbag. Despite not being literally John, Coleman is so good in the role that fans are burning with love for this adaptation of Hellblazer, with Constantine even trending on Twitter following the show’s launch.
Even Matt Ryan loyalists have to admit that Johanna is the most comic book-accurate Constantine we’ve ever had.
The fans are willing to do whatever it takes.
The calls for a Constantine spin-off just won’t stop.

Not to mention, we need to see more of Lady Johanna Constantine, the ancestor of the modern character, in future seasons.
Fans aren’t the only ones demanding more of Constantine from Coleman, as executive producer Neil Gaiman has also revealed that a Infernal show would be his dream Sandman cleave. You’d have to imagine that Netflix would be open to the idea as well, since it’s always looking for more franchises. Warner Bros. was developing its own constantine series for HBO Max, but who knows what’s going on there right now.
