The Sims 4 got a dose of accidental incest in the free patch released before the High School Years experience pack.
Players were surprised to discover that some family members’ romantic desires spilled over to other family members, one bug among many present in the new patch. Uncontrolled Romantic Desire is related to the new Wishes and Fears feature that was carried over from previous Sims titles.
All of you should also investigate why the wishes do not identify the brothers.

Character wishes can be separated into long-term, short-term, and reactionary categories. Fears develop over time for characters and are related to your characters’ traits. If you really want to avoid the mistake of incest, you can turn off fears and desires.
Sims 4 Quality Designer and Twitter user SimGuruNick acknowledged the bug and said the team is working to resolve it. The aging bug, where characters quickly go from young children to adults, is another issue that the Sims 4 team is working on fixing.
I just wanted to acknowledge that the desire to date a family member is something we know about, we’ve bred, we’re working on it. We are looking to fix it ASAP, thanks for all the bug reports, we appreciate it. Of course, we are also working on the problem of aging.

Sims 4 patches have a reputation for being buggy, something the latest update doesn’t dispel. However, if you are using mods, make sure to update and/or disable them so you can check if the bugs are really bugs and not compatibility issues between the mods and the new update.
As its name suggests, the High School Years Experience Pack is a new expansion where you can live out your dreams of Euphoria, Heathers, Mean Girls, etc. It was released on July 28 and requires the Sims 4 base game.
