Popular Twitch Streamers have branched out from video games to create variety and IRL content, but that can often be dangerous when nefarious viewers learn their whereabouts. During a recent cooking stream, one of those Twitch streamers was crushed when local police raided his home due to some unknown allegations.
June 21 was just like any other Taco Tuesday for HeyItsMeSalty as a Twitch streamer and he kicked off a cooking stream, a type of content that has become commonplace on his channel. During previous cooking broadcasts, HeyItsMeSalty has created a host of dishes like Neapolitan Margarita Pizza, Pasta with Meatballs, Pancake Stacks, Pad Thai, Stuffed Peppers and much more. While most of the Twitch community members join Twitch cooking streams to see what accidents can happen, interact with the popular streamer, and discover new cooking techniques, one of them called the police on HeyItsMeSalty to they squashed him during the broadcast, which was noted by Dexerto.
HeyItsMeSalty’s Taco Tuesday stream was interrupted, as was PixelKitten’s charity Twitch stream just a couple of days before, by armed police officers who entered his home with guns drawn while searching the area. After an interaction with police officers and an offer of free tacos at a later return, HeyItsMeSalty was able to confirm that the swatter had fooled them. Police left the scene before HeyItsMeSalty’s tacos were affected by the delay, making sure the Twitch streamer was able to continue the cooking sequence that resulted in impressive roasted cauliflower, chickpea and sweet potato tacos in homemade tortillas.
Much of the aforementioned stream has been removed, but moments involving the crush have been making the rounds throughout the community, including by the streamer himself, who shed more light on the subject. Before police left his home, HeyItsMeSalty stated that he would welcome them back for tacos once they were ready “in an hour and a half,” but emphasized the importance of his family’s safety in a tweet about the situation. . Since many of the twitch swatting events in recent history have resulted in worse and more dangerous responses than the one HeyItsMeSalty recently experienced, the person who sent the police to his home could have hurt someone.
Some Twitch viewers may have waited during the streamed crush event, but others disappeared while hoping for the best, as HeyItsMeSalty respectfully cleared things up with police officers, like YouTube’s Dr. Disrespect handled a crush in the past. . HeyItsMeSalty confirmed with his audience that he would normally end a crushed broadcast early because he “might have peed” a bit, but many of his fans have celebrated his dedication. Many of these Twitch Viewers expressed great respect for the streamer after how he handled the hit live, while others simply implored him to share the recipe for the featured tacos during the broadcast.
