One rumored game that ended up being announced in the latest Nintendo Direct was the EA Originals title It Takes Two.
This award-winning cooperative platform adventure takes two friends on a wacky adventure through a wide variety of gameplay challenges. And you can also invite a friend to join you with the free Friend Pass.
Unfortunately, if you plan to purchase a physical copy of the game, it appears that you will need to download at least part of the game. A cartridge is expected to be included, according to the label.
According to Nintendo’s website, the digital version of the game will require at least 9.5 GB of free space. There are also some small print messages, one of which mentions that the Friend’s Pass requires a free trial to be installed; this could also apply to the physical version.
The game requires a download of at least 3.5 GB. A microSD card (sold separately) is recommended. Storage requirements may change, please visit http://help.ea.com/it-takes-two for details.
*Friend’s Pass requires installation of Friend’s Pass free trial and corresponding platform account. Online play requires a friend on the same platform. A user must own the full game for the co-op player to play the full game.
Nintendo Life has reached out to EA for comment. If we hear anything, we’ll update this post.
