Ubisoft and Bungie announce solutions for players affected by the closure of Google Stadia

Both companies are in talks with Google so that those affected do not lose their progress, money, time and games.

Many saw on the horizon that Google Stadia had the numbered daysothers fully trusted the project, but the announcement caught us by surprise after the company denied it weeks ago. Definitely the worst part is taken by the users who have bought on the platform and invested hours in games with technology.

After these events, several companies have already announced action plans so that users are not harmed and lose their progress or games. We already discussed yesterday what IO Interactive pointed out, but now it’s your turn turn to Bungie and Ubisoft. Google has already pointed out that they will refund the moneybut Ubisoft’s announcement doesn’t clarify if save games will carry over as well.

Ubisoft wants to bring the games you’ve bought on Stadia to Ubisoft ConnectThe French company has pointed out in its Ubisoft Support Twitter account the following: “Even though Stadia closes on January 18, 2023, we’re excited to announce that we’re working to bring the games you own on Stadia to PC to Ubisoft Connect. We will have more information on the specific details and impact to Ubisoft+ subscribers at a later date.”

On the other hand, Bungie has issued a statement in the support forums where it states this: “We will announce and send information regarding the Destiny 2 Stadia Accounts once we have a plan of action”. Evidently they have started conversations with Google to provide them with a solution which could become an account migration.
