The latest UK boxed charts data is here (after a short delay) and, as expected, EA’s FIFA 23 has taken the top spot, knocking off Splatoon 3 after several weeks at number one.
This first place win can’t really be attributed to Switch, as Nintendo’s console only accounts for 6% of total sales (PS5 contributed 41%, PS4 30%, and Xbox One produced 17%). This shouldn’t come as a surprise, as the Switch once again received few updates with the Legacy Edition of the game, we can’t see the incentive to go out and buy it, as reflected in our 2/10 review which didn’t impress us.
Elsewhere, this week has seen Return of the Jedi, if you will, as Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has returned to third position after spending the last few weeks either at or outside the bottom of the chart for complete.
Of course, they wouldn’t be on the UK charts without the big names hanging around, and this week once again sees strong figures for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Nintendo Switch Sports, Minecraft, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Pokemon Legends. : Arcus. do they ever slow down?
That’s enough from us, so without further ado, here are this week’s top ten:
