How to unlock Under the Umbrella Shade domain in Genshin Impact?
To unlock the Under the Umbrella’s Shade domain in Genshin Impact 3.0, you need to hit and thus activate five pillars that are located around the entrance to the domain. You can’t just hit them with any character or power. The new update is all about Dendra, the new item in Genshin. To activate the pillars you have to hit them with a character that has Dendra attack powers. Your first choice should be the Dendra Traveler, which you get by default. If you forgot to change it to Dendra, you can use Tigharniu or Ganyu if you were lucky enough to get them through wishes already. However, if you don’t want to spend your wishes on new characters just yet, you can activate them with any character on your roster. That is how.

To do so, you must use the new mechanics in Genshin 3.0. There is a Dendrogana plant where you can summon Dendra orbs that will attack anything you hit with that element. There is one conveniently located next to the domain entrance. All that’s left to do is hit five pillars in a certain order and you’ll unlock the Under the Umbrella Shade mastery. Note that one of the pillars is hidden behind a rock. You must first destroy it and then activate the pillar when it is your turn.
How to get into the shadow of the umbrella?
If you are hitting the pillars and nothing is happening, here are some helpful tips to help you get into the Umbrella Shade domain. Make sure you are using a Dendra element character (such as the traveler) or use the Dendrogana buff. There are five pillars and they needs to be hit in a certain order. The fifth pillar is hidden behind a rock. To destroy the rock use a loaded Dendra attack. See the screenshot below for the correct order. To find out for yourself, check out the signs at the base of the pillars. If they’re on, that’s the next pillar to hit.
You have to hit the pillars with a Dendra’s charge attack. To unlock the Under the Umbrella Shade domain, you can use a bow character (melee works fine too), apply Dendrogana, and then shoot the rock then the pillars in a certain order to open it. The next stop is the Universal Fungus challenge within the domain itself. Just approach the door that rose from the ground and go inside. Completing the challenge shouldn’t be a problem because it involves the standard elimination of the enemy.
