You have a handful of obvious cosmetic options for your characters in Warhammer 40k: Dark Tide, buy applying skins and trinkets to your weapons is not so clear. With Imperial Edition owners getting their gifts and weapon skins available from the Armory Exchange, you’ll want to know how to apply weapon skins and trinkets.
It is possible that putting skins on weapons will be a little easier later on. dark tide updates, but at the moment it’s a bit out of the way and separate from how you apply other cosmetics to your rejects.
Cosmetics that you apply to your character directly can be chosen directly on the Wargear screen when you press the I key and switch to the Cosmetics tab. You can apply clothing, portrait frame, and badges in the Cosmetics tab, as well as choose between poses. But weapon skins are nowhere to be found in this menu; they must be accessed elsewhere.
How to Apply Weapon Skins and Trinkets in Darktide
You don’t have to go far to customize the appearance of your weapons. Still in the Wargear menu, you’ll want to focus on the Equipment tab.
Select the weapon in your inventory that you want to apply a skin to and then press the button C key or click the ‘Appearance’ button at the bottom right of the screen.
You can choose your weapon skin from here and click Confirm to apply it.
If you’re trying to apply a trinket to a weapon, look at the top left of screen Appearance.
exist two icons above your skin selection, one for weapon skin and one for trinkets. Click the trinkets tab to select and confirm your selection of trinkets for that weapon.
You’ll need to do this for each new weapon you equip and want to customize, but it’s only a few clicks away to fix.
