In November 2002, Insomniac Games started the Ratchet and Clank franchise, and quickly became a fan favorite. Players have embarked on missions across the universe as their favorite Lombax and robot duo for years, and the franchise has become a staple of PlayStation consoles. This year, the Ratchet and Clank The franchise will celebrate its 20th anniversary, but so far there has been little word on how the studio will celebrate this achievement. While the study focuses on Marvel Spider-Man 2 Y Marvel Wolverinealso have to give Ratchet and Clank the celebration you deserve.
In the last 20 years there have been nine main titles along with six spin-off games and one complete remake of the original title. That’s hours of Ratchet and Clank content that players have been exploring, and it’s an impressive feat that deserves to be celebrated. There are plenty of ways Insomniac Games could honor their long-running franchise, and it has to be a big one.
A future saga collection
During the PS3 Era, the Ratchet and Clank The series had four main titles which were dubbed the Future Saga. These titles include Tools of destruction, loot hunting, a rift in timeY in the nexus. Each game expanded the Ratchet and Clank series in many ways and for the most part they were received quite well. The last in this era of the series was released in 2013, and then the franchise went on a short hiatus for a couple of years. Almost every single title in this series is available via PS Plus Premium, but could also benefit from a game bundle.
At the same time that Future Saga came out, all three original titles got a collection for PS3. As of now, those three games are the only ones in the series that are grouped together. Game bundles are all the rage with collections like Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection Y Halo: The Master Chief Collection. It would only make sense to launch a Ratchet and Clank: The Future Saga Collection for PS5. Players could get access to these classic titles without having to subscribe to PS Plus Premium, and each game could be upgraded for PS5 hardware.
A pack from the Ratchet and Clank series
A Future Saga bundle would be great, but an entire series bundle would be even cooler. There are nine main lines Ratchet and Clank games, which is close to the scale of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Currently only four of the main games are available on modern hardware, but a game pack could fix all of that.
One of the best ways to honor a long-running franchise is to allow gamers to own a definitive collection of the series and a great Ratchet and Clank the complete package would do just that. I would not only give Ratchet and Clank fans will have the opportunity to return to some of these classic games, but newcomers will also be able to experience this extensive series.
Add all Ratchet and Clank games to PS Plus
Currently there are only four main lines Ratchet and Clank games on PS Plus Premium, and that’s the only way players can play them. Due to the lack of proper backwards compatibility on PS5, there’s no way to watch the other five games in the franchise without booting up an older console. Right now, players can only play four of the entries in Future Saga and the spin-off title. the 4 one on the PS5. The first Future Saga game is not available through PS Plus Premium and the PS2 games are also not available.
One of the easiest things Insomniac Games could do to celebrate the 20th anniversary would be to release the rest of the series on PS Plus Premium. It’s odd that some entries are absent from the service, considering the franchise’s strong relationship with the PlayStation brand, but it could be a fairly simple fix. Releasing all the games on PS Plus Premium would not only be a great way to celebrate the franchise, but it would also significantly increase the value of the subscription tier for potential subscribers. While some players may prefer a different type of celebration, this might be the most likely scenario.
Announcement of a new game
One of the biggest ways Insomniac Games could celebrate the 20th anniversary would be to announce a new game or a new take on the franchise. Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart it was the last in the series and set up a future story where Ratchet would finally explore Lombax’s dimension. A new entry in the franchise could explore this story and perhaps close this chapter of the story. Ratchet and Clank franchise. The game also introduced variants of the main characters with Rivet and Kit, and could benefit from a spin-off title of their own.
Instead of making a new entry in the franchise, Insomniac Games could also announce a new version of a previous game. So far, there has only been one remake in the franchise, which leaves seven more games that could be given the remake treatment, such as crack apart most likely it will not be redone. Redoing one of the classics Ratchet and Clank The games could be a pretty fun way to celebrate the franchise, allowing gamers to experience these older adventures with PS5 graphics. It would also go a long way in letting players experience more of the franchise on PS5, especially if it’s a remake of one of the games that has been left out of PS Plus Premium.
There are so many ways Insomniac Games could celebrate the 20th anniversary, and fans are hoping the studio throws a party worthy of the franchise. The anniversary will officially be in November of this year, so fans have a little time to wait and hypothesize how the Lombax will be celebrated. In the meantime, you can check Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart and Future Saga on PS Plus Premium to get your platform fix.
