Important update regarding james cordenBalthazar’s banned status from New York City when restaurant owner Keith McNally reversed the ban after Corden called him personally to apologize.
McNally posted a photo of Corden on his Instagram account, with a caption detailing what has happened since he implemented the ban… just hours ago. According to him, Corden, who has apologized profusely for his behavior, “doesn’t deserve to be kicked out anywhere.”
He ended the post by welcoming Corden and that all has been forgiven. The fun is over, folks!
“James Corden just called me and apologized profusely. Having screwed up more than most people, I’m a big believer in second chances. So if James Corden will let me organize his late show for 9 months, I will immediately rescind your ban on Balthazar. Of course not. But… anyone who is magnanimous enough to apologize to a slacker like me (and my staff) doesn’t deserve to be kicked out of anywhere. Especially Baltasar. So go back to 5 & Tell me, Jimmy Corden, Jimmy Corden. All is forgiven.”
Not everyone took the news well when the post came out, as some questioned why Corden didn’t apologize to staff. Others called out the talk show host for “damage control” after various media outlets reported on it, and still others wanted McNally to keep the ban status as he would teach Corden a lesson.

McNally had previously alleged that Corden was rude to servers and managers on multiple occasions, before declaring a ban on returning to the restaurant. People have since shared other similar incidents that happened at other restaurants thanks to Corden’s rude behavior.
Corden did not issue a public statement about the allegations.
