Tom Holland could be in the running to replace Daniel Craig as the next James Bond, according to new reports.
The rumor mill has produced another potential replacement for the role of 007 in the upcoming James Bond movie. Tom Holland, The Spiderman star, has now joined the ranks of other actors speculated to be in the running, including Idris Elba, Henry Cavill, Tom Hardy and Regé-Jean Page.
One of the reasons Tom Holland is being considered as a potential candidate for the role is because the James Bond producers reportedly want to cast a younger actor for the next installment in the film series. If this is true, I would certainly give Tom Holland, the 26-year-old Wonderful actor, an advantage over Elba, Cavill Hardy and Page.
On the likelihood of Tom getting the part, Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said, “Tom Holland might not be your traditional Bond type, but the odds suggest he has a slim chance of replacing Daniel Craig, and a lot of punters seem to think the same.”
The search for Daniel Craig’s replacement as Bond has been ongoing since no time to die was released in 2021. The film was the 25th installment in the James Bond series and also marked Craig’s 15 years playing the role before he left it. According to reports, an official announcement regarding the upcoming 007 is likely to come later this year.
