Game News Xbox Games with Gold: The “free” games of July 2022
June is coming to an end and it’s time for Microsoft to reveal the next “free” games for the month of July as part of its Xbox Games with Gold program.
Like every month, players with an Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription will be able to get their hands on a new batch of “free” games. Four new titles are therefore on the program for this coming summer month, starting with Beasts of Maravilla Island and Thrillville: Le Parc en Folie for the first half of July, followed by Relicta and Torchlight for the second half.
So you only have a few short days left, until June 30, to recover the city-builder Aven Colony, as well as Raskulls, a title from Xbox Live Arcade more or less in the vein of a Tetris . Project Highrise: Architect’s Edition will benefit from an extended delay of a few additional days and will remain available until July 15.
Beasts of Maravilla Island
To start, Beasts of Maravilla Island is a 3D adventure game in which you play as Marina Montez, a young wildlife photographer. With Maravilla Island as your playground, explore the local flora and fauna to solve its mysteries. Inherited from your grandfather’s diary and his old camera, all you have to do is unearth the most extraordinary creatures. Crocodile-otters, bird-monkeys or even birds disguised as bananas, there are so many fabulous creatures that will also make the richness of your shots.
Beasts of Maravilla Island will be available in the Xbox Games with Gold schedule from July 1-31.
Thrillville: Park Madness
Released in 2007, Thrillville: Crazy Park is a management game developed by Frontier Developments and published by LucasArts. In the vein of a Rollercoaster Tycoon, the goal is to design and manage your own amusement park to which are added some mini-games borrowed from party-game type games. With five new parks and almost 100 missions, the title offers a good experience, especially for players who like to enjoy mini-games with friends.
Thrillville: Crazy Park will be available in the Xbox Games with Gold schedule from July 1-15.
relict
Released most recently in 2020, Relicta is a physics-based, puzzle-based puzzle game. In first-person view, the title sets the scene on the Moon, in which you play as a scientist who finds herself stuck on a dismal and abandoned lunar base. Gravity and magnetism will be your assets to overcome the different puzzles, even the most complex, and with the sole aim of saving your daughter’s life.
Relicta will be available in the Xbox Games with Gold schedule from July 16 through August 15.

Like a Diablo-like, Torchlight presents itself as a hack n’slash without demerit in the face of the reference of the genre. In the shoes of an alchemist, a warmonger or a destroyer, your only goal is to face ever more hordes of monsters for ever more loot, all within procedurally generated dungeons. Your only companion on the road will be your faithful animal on which you can count to support you during the fights and having its own inventory to help you transport your objects.
Torchlight will be available in the Xbox Games with Gold schedule from July 16-31.
