Yu-Gi-Oh! cross duel combines some old and familiar elements with innovative mechanics, including the Ace cards that always appear in your starting hand.
Our tier list guide will provide you with the best Ace cards in Yu-Gi-Oh! cross duel. The following cards are current meta-breakers that have already shown spectacular results.
S Tier Ace Cards
metal tank Z
The current undisputed leader of the Yu-Gi-Oh! cross duel meta is Z-Metal Tank.
This Ace monster has three effects that trigger upon summoning, including automatically gaining 200 ATK and 200 DEF, as well as a random ability.
If you activate its Cohesion effect, you gain the same stat bonuses. For each of your summoned monsters, and if you fight a raid boss, your ATK increases by another 500 points.
But the main selling point is, of course, immunity to destruction effectswhich can be a big problem for your opponents.
This dark spellcaster has a similar stat gain when summoned as a Z-Metal Tank, but on top of that, all other monsters you’ve summoned also gain 200 ATK.
There is also good synergy with spell cards. Wherever you activate one, you gain another 300 ATK and 300 DEF, but only on your Ace monster.
Finally, Gagaga Magician has immunity to negate effects. If it is destroyed, it returns to your hand with the negate effect applied to all of its abilities.
A-Level Ace Cards
Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon
Pendulum cards are definitely very powerful, and this Ace Dragon is no exception, as he can use pendulum scale to give a bonus of 800 ATK and 800 DEF to all your monsters summoned with the help of its special ability.
Also has immunity to various rebound effects that would return it to your hand, which can be really annoying for your opponents.
If you play it in Raid mode, you can play Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon without any summoning materials.
White Dragon with blue eyes
A lots of Yu-Gi-Oh! cross duel players love this card for the simple reason that summoning it destroy any other enemy monster. He is super efficient and simple which definitely makes him a favorite for so many players.
This light dragon also has the Crusher ability, which deals damage not only to monsters, but also to their controller, once that monster has been destroyed. It’s like hitting two birds with one stone.
Also, Raid players will be surprised to see that this dragon gains an additional 2000 ATK and 2000 DEF when summoned.
Ace Tier B Cards
Elemental HERO Neos
Neos is a powerful warrior who has strong protection against destruction effects. He isn’t immune like Z-Metal Tank, but instead of going to the graveyard, he returns to your hand.
At the same time, Neos wins quick summon effect, allowing you to summon it again from your hand using one less summoning material. But there is a catch: in the process you lose 1000 ATK and 1000 Def. Which is even better than completely losing one of your most important cards in the game.
Firewall Dragon is a fairly successful amalgamation of several other dragons. For example, it has the same Crusher ability as Blue-Eyes White Dragon and the same immunity to ricochet effects as Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon.
But what sets Firewall Dragon apart from the rest is the fact that it is a LINK monsterwhich makes it synergistic with other LINK monsters.
Once you Summon Firewall Dragon, it gains one of the following Attributes, depending on the number of other LINK Monsters on the field or in your Graveyard:
- Immunity: Stance Change (1x).
- Super speed (2x/3x).
- Return a monster to your hand (4x).
Dragias Multistrike Dragon
Dragias is the only other Ace monster on our list that has immunity to destruction effects in addition to Z-Metal Tank.
While its ability to buff your other monsters is useful, it’s a bit lackluster.
Its Intimidate effect can be quite interesting for many players who like to play mind games with their opponents. This ability forces an enemy monster to switch from its attack stance to a defensive one. This may not sound like much, but it’s definitely interesting!
